What does this tool do?

This tool allows you to shorten links while letting users write titles, descriptions, and use custom images that appear with the link when shared on social media or in conversations. This makes the links look neat, attractive, and more professional.

What is OG:Image and why is it matter?

OG:Image is a meta tag used to specify the image that appears when your webpage is shared on social media platforms. This tag helps Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Telegram, and others display an appropriate image along with the shared content. A well-chosen image displayed with your link helps viewers understand the content of the shared webpage.

I just want to shorten the link...

Ok, just paste your url and submit it. Titles, descriptions, and images are optional. If you just want to shorten the link, DO NOT tick the “Use custom Title, Description & OG-Image” box. Note that this will cause social media platforms to display the original title, description, and image from the destination page.

Another use case for this tool is… When you do not want the original title/description and image from the destination page to be displayed when sharing the link, tick “Use custom Title, Description & OG-Image” and leave all fields blank. Your link will then have no title/description and image.

Is this tool free?

This tool is free, and we don't even care about asking users to log in. However, the tool is currently in the testing phase, and since our server has limitations, a created link may have an expiration time. We are not responsible for any loss, errors, or malfunctions that may occur.

I need a QR code...

The tool currently offers the ability to create a QR code, but it is a QR code of the shortened link, meant to be displayed along with the link when shared on social media. If you want a QR code in PNG, JPEG, etc., or a direct QR code to your link, we are developing this feature and it will be available soon.

My OG image/title/description is not displaying correctly on shared social media?

We are sorry if this happens. There are too many social networks, and each one has different standards for displaying images with links. To ensure your content displays better, you can do the following:

  1. Use short titles and descriptions - many social networks have character limits for displaying titles and descriptions. Using shorter titles and descriptions ensures the content is fully conveyed.
  2. Use images with a ratio of 1:1 (square), 16:9 (wide), or 1.91:1 (easy to remember - 2:1) – The above ratios are for reference, and you don't need to be too precise as each social network has different display standards. Telegram can even display vertical images of 3:2 and 16:9.
  3. Best image size is 1200 x 630 and should be lightweight – Currently, loadl.ink supports converting the uploaded images to webp format to keep the image size as light as possible.

Does the speed of reaching the destination page via loadl.ink slower?

Not much, and it doesn’t matter. The purpose of the tool is to create an attractive link and provide more useful information for users. We have no intention of indexing this link with search engines or SEO, right? ^^!
